Roadrunners Outlast Cougars, 70-68

Oroville, Calif. - The Butte men's basketball team earned its third-straight win, outlasting Lassen, 70-68, on Wednesday evening.

The Roadrunners took an eight-point lead into the break, and despite hot shooting by the Cougars beyond the arc, sophomore Isaac Wood scored on the finger roll with 19 seconds remaining and defense in the paint after three Cougar attempts in the final seconds secured the win.

Sophomores Rolontae Knowles and Wood combined led Butte with 19 and 18 points, respectively. Wood added five boards, while Knowles tallied four. Freshman Marvelous Owens led all players on the boards with a game-high six.

Butte (11-11, 3-2) hosts Feather River next on Saturday, Jan. 28 at 12 p.m. for the team's Coaches vs. Cancer game.
