No. 8 Softball Makes It 14 Straight with Sweep of Siskiyous

Oroville, Calif. - The No. 8 Butte softball team extended its winning streak with a pair of wins over Siskiyous, 4-1 and 8-0 (5), on Saturday afternoon.

Sophomore Alexis Detwiler posted a perfect 2-for-2 outing in game one with a pair of RBI with a double and a stolen base in game one. Freshman Kylee Richhart also added a multi-hit game with a 2-for-3 performance with a double, while sophomore Hayley Sites tallied a triple.

Freshman Avery Jolley (6-3) picked up the win on a two-hit, five-inning outing with five strikeouts. Sophomore Kiya Hamar earned the save to close the game.

In game two, sophomore Maggie Smith (8-2) earned the complete-game shutout in the circle, allowing only one hit, while fanning four.

Sophomores Ella Jolley and Diana Hull both earned a pair of hits with E. Jolley posting a double. Hull counted four of the team's eight total RBI.

Butte (16-5, 4-0) continues GVC play at Lassen on Friday, Mar. 24. The doubleheader is slated to begin at 1 p.m.
