Oroville, Calif. - The Butte baseball team fell to Feather River, 15-3 (7) and 19-8, on Saturday afternoon.
In game one, sophomore Landon Gomes earned a 2-for-3 outing, counting a RBI in the third inning. Sophomore Ryan McCarthy counted a double for his lone hit, also earning a RBI.
On the mound, sophomore Carson Seeman (4-1) suffered his first loss of the season, tossing five complete with five strikeouts.
Sophomore Kolby Amaral led the Roadrunners at the plate, going 2-for-3. Sophomore Evan Stauch went yard in the first inning to count three RBI, while McCarthy and sophomore Patrick Barry each tallied a double.
Freshman Hunter Timothy (3-1) was the pitcher of record in the loss in his four-inning appearance. Sophomore Jaeden Fraley led the team on the bump with five strikeouts.
Butte (18-4, 6-2) wraps up the series at Feather River on Monday, Mar. 27 at 2:30 p.m.
