Bio
Coach Robles will assist with day-to-day on field operations, with an emphasis on player development. Robles is very familiar with the Butte Baseball as this is his 4th year in the program, 3 years as a player. We are super excited to have Eric join our staff, anytime you can have an alumni on the coaching staff, it is a win-win for everyone involved stated Coach Ferro.
Robles was a part of the 2016 GVC championship as a redshirt who traveled with the team. Although he did not play an inning that year, he was introduced to the high-level baseball that is expected from the Roadrunner program. That year Robles served as a Dugout Captain every game, where he learned how to decipher a game from the dugout and helped daily to get the team in a right frame of mind to compete.
The following years Robles played Shortstop and 2B for the Roadrunners and was a key part of those teams as he played in every game those two years. He was a small ball specialist, was exceptional at putting ball in play, and consistent at giving quality at bats.
Following Butte, Robles continued to play for a former alumni Dylan Connolly at Sterling College. Robles spent three years there as well, with a NAIA regional appearance in 2019 his first year in the program.
Since leaving College Robles has also played Independently for teams in California, Michigan, and Oregon. Still pursuing high levels of baseball Robles is a journeyman who has a passion for the game. He has a bachelor’s degree in Sports Management- Coaching and Instruction from Sterling College.
