Walnut, Calif. - Sophomore Meghan Weinrich scored a game-high 23 points to lead the Roadrunners to a decisive 85-58 win over Rio Hondo to open the Mt. SAC Tip-Off on Friday afternoon.
Weinrich nearly recorded a triple-double with 16 rebounds and nine assists, adding five steals.
Freshman Madalynn Bassett tallied 16 points off the bench on 60 percent shooting, going 4-for-8 from beyond the arc, while sophomore Sanaya Shrader and freshman Sarah Tait both chipped in 15 apiece. Shrader counted her first double-double of the season with 10 boards.
The Roadrunners (2-0) continue tournament play, facing Long Beach on Saturday, Nov. 5 at 5 p.m.
