Walnut, Calif. - The No. 3 Butte women's basketball team lost an overtime heartbreaker, 65-62, to No. 4 Mt. SAC in the tournament finale on Sunday afternoon.
Sophomore Madalynn Bassett paced the Roadrunner offense with a game-high 18 points with all her points coming from beyond the arc. She added three assists and four steals. Freshman Campbell Vieg was close behind with 12 points on 50 percent shooting with four rebounds and four assists.
Butte (3-1) returns back to NorCal to face No. 7 Sierra on Wednesday, Nov. 8 at 6 p.m. The contest will be played at William Jessup University.
