Oroville, Calif. - The Butte women's volleyball team opened Golden Valley Conference play with a 3-1 win over Redwoods on Friday afternoon. Set scores were 25-15, 25-19, 24-26, 25-21.
Sophomore Alexis Kearney and freshman Koya Porter combined for 15 of the team's 24 kills with Kearney earning a pair of blocks Porter adding four aces and six digs. Sophomore Kylie Walsh racked up 20 digs with a pair of aces.
Butte (4-12, 1-0) remains home, hosting Lassen next on Friday, Oct. 6 at 6 p.m.
