Eight Tabbed CSC Academic All-District

Greenwood, Ind. - Eight Butte student-athletes were tabbed College Sports Communicators (CSC) College Division Academic All-District, announced Tuesday. This marks the first year that there was an All-District Team for the College Division.

Sophomores Patrick Barry (baseball), Tanner Hughes (football), Dante Jackson (football), Madison Kalberer (women's track and field), Cassidy King (women's basketball), Tessa Kinney (women's basketball), Jeremiah Knoch (men's cross country / track and field), and Meghan Weinrich (women's basketball) are now eligible for Academic All-America honors, to be announced on June 22.

The Academic All-District program recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances in the athletic realm and in the classroom. Butte was one of two 3C2A institutions to land student-athletes on the All-District teams.

In the College Division At-Large program, nominations are limited to student-athletes from two-year colleges, Canadian institutions, and any other institution not affiliated with the NCAA or NAIA. Nominees must be a starter or important reserve with at least a 3.50 cumulative grade point average (on a 4.0 scale) and have competed in at least 50 percent of the team's contests or competitions, as well as have completed one full calendar year at the nominating institution.

The Roadrunners boasted a pair of Academic All-Americans in 2022 in Brian Harper (football) and Savannah Wahl (softball).
