157 Student-Athletes Named Fall 2023 Scholar-Athletes; 52 Earn Perfect Marks
Oroville, Calif. - The Butte Athletics Department is pleased to announce that 157 student-athletes were named Butte Athletics Scholar-Athletes for the Fall 2023 semester.
Overall, 111 student-athletes achieved at least a 3.5 GPA and 52 had a perfect 4.0 GPA. The football team boasted the most selections with 43 with baseball in second with 25. The athletics department had 241 total student-athletes during the Fall 2023 term.
Men's soccer posted the best male team GPA (3.44), and women's basketball earned the top female team GPA (3.70).
To be eligible for scholar-athlete status, a minimum 3.0 GPA is required, as well as the student-athlete must have completed at least 12 units. Additionally, the student must have been cleared for competition and listed on the team's respective Form 3.
