Bio

Daniel Desmond joined the Butte College Athletic Training staff in August 2023. 
 
Prior to Butte, Desmond was the lead athletic trainer for men's wrestling and assistant athletic trainer for football at Southern Oregon University. He also served as as the strength and conditioning coach for the football team. 
 
He spent four years as both the head strength and conditioning coach and head athletic trainer at Marysville High School, while developing a significant contract athletic training network providing athletic training services at grappling tournaments around California. 
 
Desmond graduated with a B.S. in Kinesiology and Exercise Science from San Francisco State University in 2015. He earned his Master's in Athletic Training from the University of Idaho in 2018, where he completed clinical work at both Southwestern University and Stanford University.
