Oroville, Calif. - Freshman Aidan Moore led the Roadrunners with a 2-for-3 outing, but Butte was unable to get on the board, dropping the two-game series opener to Feather River, 8-0, on Friday afternoon.
Freshmen Danelle Daniels, Austin York, and Sergio Gutierrez and sophomore Cole Dyer counted the team's other hits.
Freshman Logan Meyers (7-3) was the pitcher of record, tossing four complete. He scattered three hits while giving up a pair of runs, none earned.
Butte (24-13, 16-6) wraps up the series with Feather River on the road on Saturday, Apr. 23. First pitch is slated for 11 a.m.
