Seven Sluggers Named All-Conference

Oroville, Calif. - Seven Butte baseball players were named All-Golden Valley Conference, announced Saturday.

Freshmen Danelle Daniels (OF), Sergio Gutierrez (RHP/UTIL), Logan Meyers (RHP), and Austin York (INF) led the way with first team nods, while freshman RJ Aranda (LHP) and Patrick Barry (INF) garnered second team accolades. Freshman utility player Landon Gomes rounded out the group with honorable mention honors. 

This septet led the Roadrunners to their first Super Regional appearance in school history after upsetting seventh-seeded Santa Rosa in the NorCal Regional in sweeping fashion.

Overall, Butte finished its 2022 campaign with a 28-16 overall record and 18-7 in Golden Valley Conference play, good for second, and earned the 10th-seed in the NorCal playoff bracket.
