Seeman Leads Roadrunners to Pair of Wins over Solano on Opening Day

Oroville, Calif. - Sophomore Carson Seeman led the Roadrunners on both sides of the ball to a pair of opening wins over Solano, 3-2 and 8-5, on Friday afternoon.

In game one, Seeman pitched four complete, allowing only one hit, one run, while fanning seven. While in game two, Seeman went 2-for-3 with a double, run, and two RBI.

Offensively in game one, sophomore Danelle Daniels had the hot bat with a 2-for-4 performance with a double, home run, and two runs scored. In game two, sophomore Evan Stauch went yard in his lone hit of the game, while sophomore Connor Pawlowski added a 2-for-3 performance with a run and RBI.

On the day, the Roadrunners counted six extra-base hits with a pair of homers and four doubles. 

Sophomore Kyle Kucich (1-0) was the pitcher of record in the game one decision, throwing one complete, while sophomore Caleb Schaeffer (1-0) tallied the win on the bump in game two in relief. Schaeffer tossed a four-hitter in four complete with four strikeouts, relieving freshman starter Hunter Timothy.

The Roadrunners (2-0) wrap the three-game series at Solano on Saturday, Jan. 28 at 1 p.m.
