Oroville, Calif. - Sophomore Ryan McCarthy went yard to lead the Roadrunners to a 14-5 win over Siskiyous on Monday afternoon.
Sophomore Evan Stauch backed McCarthy with a pair of doubles with both Stauch and McCarthy earning a pair of hits each. McCarthy added three RBI, while Stauch tallied a pair, and sophomore Danelle Daniels also earned a double and two stolen bases.
On the mound, sophomore Jaeden Fraley (1-0) counted the win as the third pitcher in a staffed outing. Sophomore Bryson Reif opened the game with sophomore Ian Sweringen closing things out with a one strikeout, scoreless ninth inning.
Butte (18-2) remains home, hosting Feather River in a doubleheader on Saturday, Mar. 25. First pitch is slated for 12:30 p.m.
