Seeman's Shutout Performance Earns Pitcher of the Week Honors

Oroville, Calif. - Sophomore right-handed hurler Carson Seeman was tabbed the California Community College Baseball Coaches Association (CCCBCA) Player of the Week for Week 9, announced Friday.

In week nine, Seeman tossed a complete-game shutout against Siskiyous, allowing only two hits and fanning nine. He faced 31 total batters, only allowing a pair of walks. His outstanding effort led the Roadrunners to a 5-0 win, en route to a sweep of the Eagles in the five-game conference series. 

This marks his second complete-game gem of the season, throwing a four-hitter against American River on February 16 with seven strikeouts.

Overall on the season, he is 6-1 with a 3.05 ERA, 2.65 in GVC play, in 56 innings pitched over nine appearances on the bump. He has accumulated 48 strikeouts (7.71 spg) with over half of those coming in conference competiton.

 

This is Seeman's first Pitcher of the Week honor and the second CCCBCA honor for Butte this season.
