Baseball Eclipses 30-Win Mark with 12-3 Victory over Redwoods to Sweep Series

Eureka, Calif. - The Butte baseball team eclipsed the 30-win mark for the first time since 2019 in the 12-3 win over Redwoods on Saturday afternoon. The sweep of the five-game series is the third for the Roadrunners this year.
Freshman Jason Olsen led the way for the team at the plate, going 3-for-5 with a pair of runs and RBI. Sophomores Connor Pawlowski and Danelle Daniels both recorded a double, while sophomore Ryan McCarthy went yard. Daniels, sophomore Landon Gomes, and freshman Carter Lyons also earned multi-hit games with McCarthy and Lyons tallying a pair of RBI each.
Sophomore Caleb Schaeffer (3-1) earned the win in relief on the hill, tossing five complete scoreless innings, allowing only a couple of hits while fanning nine.
Butte (30-4, 18-2) heads to Lassen next for a trio of contests starting on Friday, Apr. 21 at 2 p.m.
