No. 7 Baseball to Host No. 18 Cosumnes River for Regionals

Oroville, Calif. - The seventh-seeded Butte baseball team hosts 18th-seeded Cosumnes River for the 3C2A Baseball Northern Regional Round One best-of-three series beginning on Friday, May 5. First pitch is slated for 2 p.m. 

Game two will be played on Saturday, May 6 at 11 a.m. with game three to immediately follow, if necessary.

The Roadrunners enter the matchup after taking the Golden Valley Conference title with a 33-6 overall record, 21-4 in GVC play. Cosumnes River finished the 2023 season with a 19-20 record, 10-14 in the Big 8.

The winner of the series will advance to the 3C2A Baseball Northern Regional Round Two, facing the winners of No. 2 Delta/No. 23 Cabrillo and No. 11 Mission/No. 14 Skyline for the three-team Super Regional.

CCCAA postseason ticket prices are in effect. Ticket prices are $12 for adults and $8 for senior citizens (60+), children 12 and under, students (with valid ID), and faculty and staff. Tickets can be purchased in advance through the Butte Athletics Box Office or via credit card or check at the door. No cash will be accepted for entry.
