Sophomore pitcher Shaw Lee is the Butte Athletics January Male Athlete of the Month.

In his first start of the year, Lee tossed seven complete innings, scattering a pair of hits and fanning a career-high eight against Solano in the three-game series finale. Lee faced 23 batters, tallying 63 strikes on his 80 total pitches.

The Roadrunners went 2-1 in January, taking the season-opening series from the Falcons with a 12-3 win at home in game two before the 3-1 edge on the road in the final contest.
