Oroville, Calif. - An 11-run seventh inning lifted the Butte baseball team over Yuba, 18-6, on Monday afternoon.
Freshman Dylan O'Hair recorded a pair of extra-base hits with a double and two-run homer to lead the way with freshman Aidan Santos batting 3-for-4 with three runs. Sophomore Carter Lyons recorded a triple in his 2-for-5 outing with two RBI and a stolen base, and freshman Aidan Robles rounded out the batters with multi-hit outings with a double, four RBI, and a stolen base.
Freshman Mason Ali (2-0) earned the win on the bump in his five-inning outing. He allowed only three earned runs, while striking out three.
Butte (5-6) opens a three-game series at American River next on Thursday, Feb. 15. First pitch is slated for 1 p.m.
