Baseball Completes Three-Game Sweep of Redwoods

Oroville, Calif. - The Butte baseball team amassed 42 hits to take a three-game sweep over Redwoods in two days. Game one score was 15-4 (seven innings), game two score was 21-4, and the finale was 13-2.

In game one, freshman Trent Van Nuys went a perfect 4-for-4 with three runs, while sophomores Brody Boyle and Connor Pawlowski each tallied a pair of hits each with Boyle earning a double and a homer, good for four RBI. Freshman Dylan O'Hair also went yard for three RBI.

Freshman Mason Ali (5-0) went five full on the bump, allowing only one hit while fanning five.

Sophomore Jackson Parmeter went 2-for-3 with a two-run long ball in game two, while six different Roadrunners tallied doubles. Freshmen Aiden Santos and Ryan Wheeler counted three RBI each with a stolen base.

Freshman Jordan Riley (2-2) was the pitcher of record, coming in relief in the second inning. He threw a two-hitter through five innings, while striking out nine.

Boyle and Parmenter both earned their second homer of the weekend in the series finale with Boyle tallying three RBI. Freshman Aiden Robles went 3-for-5 at the plate with a pair of runs and pair of RBI, while sophomore Carter Lyons earned a pair of hits, including a double. 

On the hill, sophomore Shaw Lee (4-1) threw five complete, allowing five hits, while striking out six.

Butte (15-7) continues GVC play heading to Lassen for a single contest on Friday, Mar. 15. First pitch is scheduled for 2 p.m.
