Starting Pitchers Shine As Baseball Wins First Half Rubber Match Against Feather River

Oroville, Calif. - The three starting pitchers for the Butte baseball team shined as the Roadrunners won the first half rubber match against Feather River.

Butte fell in game one, 5-4, before rebounding with a 3-1 victory on Thursday, and the team wrapped up the three-game matchup with a 4-1 win at home on Monday.

In game one, sophomore Hunter Timothy threw six complete, allowing six hits, leaving the game without the decision.

At the plate, freshman Carter Imbach went 2-for-3 with a RBI, while freshman Aidan Robles went 2-for-2 with three RBI.

Sophomore Shaw Lee (5-2) threw a scoreless 7.2 innings, allowing only five hits. Freshman Jordan Riley earned his first career save with a pair of strikeouts.

Offensively, three Roadrunners counted doubles, led by freshman Jaden Thomson's 2-for-4 performance. 

And in the finale, freshman Mason Ali (7-0) remained perfect on the bump with a three-hit, complete-game performance with four strikeouts.

Freshman Jackson Parmenter counted a two-RBI double in his lone at bat, pinch hitting in the eighth to score a pair of insurance runs. Sophomore Connor Pawlowski went a perfect 4-for-4 with a double.

Butte (18-10, 10-4) begins the second-half of conference play, hosting Siskiyous first on Friday, Mar. 29 at 2 p.m.
