Roadrunners Wrap Up Series with Pair of Wins over Siskiyous

Oroville, Calif. - The Butte baseball team wrapped up its five-game series against Siskiyous with a pair of wins, going 8-0 in the first game and 5-3 in the second, on Thursday afternoon.

Sophomore pitcher Hunter Timothy (4-3) allowed only three hits in seven innings of work in game one, while fanning three. Sophomore Jack Nilsson and freshman Brandon Doran closed things out with an inning apiece.

At the plate, freshman Carter Imbach went 3-for-4 with four RBI and two doubles, picking up three of his RBI on a bases-clearing double in the sixth. Sophomore Carter Lyons and freshman Aidan Robles both went 2-for-4 at the plate with Lyons tallying a pair of RBI and a stolen base and Robles earning a double.

In game two, sophomore Shaw Lee picked up his sixth win of the season on the bump, going eight complete, scattering five hits and striking out three. 

Four Roadrunners backed up him at the plate with RBI doubles, scoring all five of the team's runs in the sixth inning. Freshman Trent Van Nuys started the scoring with a double down the third base line before Imbach doubled to left field. Robles also found grass in left field before sophomore Jackson Parmenter rounded out the extra base hits with a double to left center.

Overall at the plate, Parmenter went 3-for-4 with a RBI, while sophomore Connor Pawlowski and freshman Jaden Thomson went 2-for-3.

Butte (20-10, 12-4) heads to Shasta next for a doubleheader on Friday, Apr. 5 starting at 12 p.m.
