Freshman right-handed pitcher Mason Ali is the Butte Athletics March Male Athlete of the Month.

Ali posted a perfect 3-0 record in March in four appearances on the mound, helping the Roadrunners to a 10-3 mark in the month.

He made three starts, tossing a total of 23.2 innings, including a complete-game win over Feather River in the teams' first-half rubber match on March 25. Ali tossed a three-hitter against the Golden Eagles, while fanning four, throwing only 109 pitches - 75 of those strikes.

Ali posted a 2.32 ERA in March with a 0.81 WHIP and did not give a home run in 88 batters faced with opponents batting average of .168.

Overall this season, Ali is 7-0 in 10 appearances and five starts, throwing a total of 45.2 innings. He has one save, 2.56 ERA, .99 WHIP, and 28 strikeouts.
