Bio

Dave O'Hair joined the Butte baseball staff in 2020 as an assistant coach. His responsibilities are coaching the catchers as well as assisting with the outfielders and hitters. O'Hair also coaches first base and assists with the day-to-day operations of the program with an emphasis on recruiting.

O'Hair began his coaching career at Gridley High School, where he coached baseball for 10 years. After Gridley, he coached for a season at Biggs High School in addition to two years at Yuba College. O'Hair has also been affiliated with the Chico Aces baseball program since 2020.  

As a student-athlete, O'Hair played baseball and basketball at Fremont High School, where he was named All-League as a senior in baseball. He went on to play baseball at De Anza College, where he earned All-Conference honors as a sophomore.

A native of Sunnyvale, Calif., he currently resides in Chico, Calif., with his wife Annette. The couple has two sons, Kyle and Dylan. He is a retired correctional sergeant with the Butte County Sheriff's Office.
