Owens Earns Defensive Player of the Week Honor

Chico, Calif. - Freshman defensive back Marvelous Owens has earned the NCFC National Defensive Player of the Week honor, announced Thursday.

In the team's league opening win over Santa Rosa, Owens paced the Roadrunners with a team-high seven tackles, six solo, with a pair of picks and a tackle for loss.

This is the third Player of the Week honor for Butte this season, second defensive award.
