Twelve Football Players Tabbed All-League

Chico, Calif. - Twelve Butte football players were tabbed All-National NorCal, announced Sunday.

On offense, sophomores Mason Buttel-Strong (OL), Jailen Hammer (WR), Tanner Hughes (QB), and Caleb Ramseur (RB) were joined by freshmen Michael Bareman (OL) and Samiu Letisi (OL). Defensively, sophomores Elijah O'Neal (DL) and Lathun Snipes (DL) and freshmen Malcolm Dewalt (DB) and Aiden Sullivan (LB) made the list. Sophomore Dante Jackson (P) and freshman Zach Valcarcel (K/PR) were named to All-League for special teams.

Hughes finished the regular season ranked first in pass efficiency (175.3), third in the state for passing touchdowns (23), fifth for total yards (2,119), sixth for completion percentage (62.1), and ninth in yards per game (211.9).

Hammer was second in receiving touchdowns (14), fifth for yards per catch (19.0), sixth for total yards (800), and ninth for yards per game (80.0).

Ramseur was in the top 10 for four categories, including seventh for total yards (685), yards per game (76.1), total rushes (133), and rushing touchdowns (8).

O'Neal is second in the state for sacks (14.5) and sack yards (104).

And Jackson ranked second in the state in average punt yards (41.3).

The Roadrunners (7-3, 4-1) host Fresno on Saturday, Dec. 3 at 12:30 p.m. in the Northern California Bowl. Tickets are on sale now through the Butte Athletics Box Office.
