Sophomore running back Christian Vaughn is the Butte Athletics September Male Athlete of the Month.

Vaughn's ground game was a big offensive spark for the football team, helping boost the team to a 4-1 record in September, including upsetting No. 1 San Mateo as the month closed.

He amassed 706 rushing yards on 107 carries and leads the state in average rushing yards (141.2 ypg) with a long of 52 yards. He also is atop the state stats with nine touchdowns. 

Vaughn has also caught six balls for 56 yards (11.2 ypg) with an average of 9.3 yards per reception and long of 17 yards.

He was named the JC Athletic Bureau Rusher of the Week and NCFC National Division Offensive Player of the Week.
