Cooper Signs with Eastern Washington

Utah - Sophomore tight end Landon Cooper signed a National Letter of Intent with Eastern Washington (NCAA Division I FCS) during the early signing period on Wednesday.

Cooper, one of the key targets during the 2023 season, amassed 31 receptions for 358 yards and five touchdowns. During his career at Butte, he totaled 42 receptions for 463 yards (11.0 ypr) with six touchdowns.

"Landon is another Butte College product," Eastern Washington football coaches said. "Coach Snelling does a great job with the Butte program and Butte student-athletes fit our program very well. Landon plays with great violence at the point of attack and adds athleticism in the passing game. We expect him to immediately contribute in our offense and on special teams."

Cooper joins offensive linemen Mason Buttel-Strong and Aidan Corning and tight end Austin York at EWU. The Eagles finished 2023 with a 4-7 record under 27th-year head coach Aaron Best.
