Redding, Calif.- Sophomore Rolontae Knowles scored 21 points, but the Butte men's basketball team fell at Shasta, 79-69, on Wednesday evening.
Knowles added six boards to his performance, while three other Roadrunners reached double-figures in the points column. Sophomore Ozzy Meadows tallied 13, while sophomores Marvin Lee and Isaac Wood each earned 11 points apiece. Meadows counted 12 boards to lead the team.
The Roadrunners were able to overcome a 12-point halftime deficit to knot the game up at 64 each but were unable to hold on and take the lead late in the game.
Butte (13-12, 5-3) return home to host Redwoods on Saturday, Feb. 11 for a 1 p.m. contest. The team's six sophomores will be honored before the game.
