Four Named to All-Conference Teams

Redding, Calif. - Four Butte men's basketball players picked up All-Golden Valley Conference honors, announced Saturday.

Sophomores Rolontae Knowles and Ozzy Meadows led the way with All-GVC honors, while sophomore Isaac Wood earned a honorable mention nod. Freshman Marvelous Owens was named to the All-Defensive Team.

Knowles was the team's leading scorer all season, averaging 17.2 points per game. He added 6.5 rebounds and 1.4 assists per game.

Meadows led the team on the glass in GVC play, averaging 8.1 rebounds per game, while also posting the second-most points with a 14.6 per game average.

Wood was the team's third-leading scorer, starting all 10 conference contests. He posted 12.7 points, 2.9 rebounds, 2.2 assists, and 1.2 steals per game.

After joining the team after football season, Owens averaged 9.2 points, 5.0 rebounds, 1.6 assists, and 3.1 steals in GVC play.

The 17th-seeded Roadrunners will head to No. 16 Ohlone for the CCCAA Northern Regional Round 1 contest on Wednesday, Feb. 22. Tipoff is slated for 7 p.m.
