Livermore, Calif. - The starting five for the Butte men's basketball team all scored in double figures, but the Roadrunners were edged by Los Medanos, 77-70, on Saturday afternoon, finishing sixth in the Tony Costello Tip-Off.
Sophomore Tanner Stephens paced the Roadrunner offense with 12 points, while sophomore Anthony Montoya and Rashad Samuels added 11. Freshmen Donnell Basden and Jessy Maximin chipped in 10 points each with Maximin securing 18 rebounds, including nine offensive boards. Montoya nearly reached a double-double with nine rebounds, adding five assists.
Butte (1-2) remains on the road, heading to Columbia next on Saturday, Nov. 11 at 6 p.m.
