Rashad Samuels, Men's Basketball

Freshman guard Rashad Samuels is the Butte Athletics December Athlete of the Month.

Samuels helped lead the Butte men's basketball team to a 6-4 record, defeating No. 6 Yuba in the team's first home game of the month.

He amassed eight double-digit points games with a career-high 32 against Foothill in the last game of the calendar year. He shot 40 percent from the field, hitting the gamewinning buzzer beater against Feather River in the Cabrillo College Saltwater Classic.

Overall, Samuels averaged 14.2 points per game, 3.3 rebounds per game, 3.3 assists per game, 1.6 steals per game, and 0.8 blocked shots per game.
