Matthews Signs with Hawaii Pacific

Oroville, Calif. - Sophomore goalkeeper Austin Matthews has signed with Hawaii Pacific, announced Wednesday.

The Golden Valley Conference Goalkeeper of the Year and Butte College Athletics Male Athlete of the Year, Matthews started in 14 of the 16 matches he played in during his two-year career. He counted 59 career saves, allowing only 11 goals with a 7-3-2 overall record and counting four shutouts.

In 2021, Hawaii Pacific finished 8-6-2 and 6-2-2 in the PacWest Conference.
