Joblet, Trevor Take Top Honors; Seven Others Earn All-Conference Nod

South Lake Tahoe, Calif. - Sophomores Antoine Joblet and Trevor Sander were named Co-Defensive Player of the Year and Midfielder of the Year, respectively, leading nine All-Golden Valley Conference selections, announced Monday.

All-GVC First Team selections included sophomores Quintin Benn-John (M/W) and Simon Huebner (D) and freshman Noris Iten (GK), while sophomores Brian Hohener (D) and Juan Tejada-Moreno (D) and freshmen Estefano Garcia (W/S) and George Shaw (D) were tabbed second team selections.

Joblet played in 23 matches for the Roadrunners this season, starting 19. He counted four goals, three assists, and one game-winning goal.

Sander appeared in 23 matches, starting 17 in 2022. Overall, he finished the season ranked fifth in the state for assists (13), ninth for points (37), and seventh for penalty kicks (3-1). In total he tallied 12 goals, including three gamewinners.

Benn-John made 23 appearances, making 19 starts. He earned 12 goals - three gamewinners, seven assists, scoring 31 points, and tallying 45 total shots.

Huebner played and started 21 matches this season. He tallied a pair of goals and assists - good for six points - with 19 total shots.

Iten appeared and started 19 total matches in the goal. He ranked second in the state for wins (14), while earning 68 saves and four shutouts.

Hohener played in 20 matches, starting 11, earning an assist with two shots.

Tejada-Moreno appeared in 19 matches, starting 13. He earned one goal with two assists and six total shots.

Garcia competed in 22 matches, including 16 starts, earning six goals - two gamewinners - with seven assists on 36 total shots.

And Shaw started 21 matches of the 23 total he played in this season. He earned four goals and one assist.

Overall, the Roadrunners earned the No. 8 seed in the north, advancing to the NorCal Regional Semifinals. The team wrapped the season 16-3-4 overall, 7-1 in GVC play.
