Oroville, Calif. - The Butte men's soccer team picked up its first win of the season, blanking Woodland, 4-0, on Thursday afternoon.
Freshman Shahin Adwan started the scoring for the Roadrunners off a 2-on-1 fast break with freshman Lenny Dupouyet, who picked up the assist, in the 10th minute. Dupouyet closed out the first half with back-to-back goals of his own in the 17th and 35th minutes with feeds from Adwan and freshman Noah Ben Huremovic.
Freshman Guillermo Pena Berto netted the team's last goal in the 75th minute with freshman Floris Zengerink Terhorst picking up the assist.
Sophomore Louis Hester had a slow day in the goal, playing all 90 minutes with no shots by Woodland.
Butte (1-3-4) remains home, hosting Merritt next on Friday, Sept. 22 at 4 p.m.
