Men's Soccer Rebounds with 3-0 Win over Siskiyous; Sandberg Earns 100th Career Win

Oroville, Calif. - The Butte men's soccer team rebounded with a 3-0 win over Siskiyous on Tuesday afternoon. Head men's soccer coach Ross Sandberg captured his 100th career win.

Freshman Daniel Alvarez Izquierdo scored the go-ahead goal in the 13th minute off of a feed from freshman Hayden Texeira to give the Roadrunners the early 1-0 lead in the first half. Freshman Lenny Dupouyet scored in the 50th minute with freshman Shahin Adwan earning the assist, before sophomore George Shaw counted another insurance goal in the 59th minute from Alvarez Izquierdo.

Sophomore Noris Iten played all 90 minutes in the goal, tallying a pair of saves.

Butte (5-4-4, 3-1) heads to Feather River next, facing the Golden Eagles on Friday, Oct. 13 at 4 p.m.
