Brandon Smith, Men's Track and Field

Sophomore decathlete Brandon Smith is the Butte Athletics February Male Athlete of the Month.

In his first-ever decathlon at the Chico State Multis, Smith finished seventh with a score of 5191 and earning the 3C2A "A" standard.

He won the javelin with a "A" standard throw of 183-0 and finished second in the 100 meters (11.40).

Smith wrapped up the weekend by capturing the Butte Opener javelin title.
