Seven Runners Named All-Conference

Oroville, Calif. - Seven Butte cross country runners were named All-Golden Valley Conference, led by GVC champion Michael Sides.

On the women's side, sophomore Ariana Smedley and freshmen Grace Becker and Risa Reynier finished fourth, fifth, and sixth, respectively, at the GVC Championships to earn All-Conference honors. And on the men's side, sophomores Matthew Garcia (second), Jeremiah Knoch (sixth), and Sides and freshman Cristofer Velazquez-Patino (fourth) were tabbed All-GVC.

The Roadrunners qualified five for the state meet after both teams finished ninth at the NorCal Championships.
