Cross Country Captures Ninth at Fresno Invite

Fresno, Calif. - The Butte men's and women's cross country teams finished ninth at the Fresno Invitational at Woodward Park on Friday morning.

Freshman Phillip Logan was the top finisher for the Roadrunners, capturing 41st (22:19) and scoring 37th. He was followed by freshman Mark Velazquez-Patino in 47th (22:29) and sophomore Cristofer Velazquez-Patino in 51st (22:33) in the 171-runner field.

On the women's side, freshman Jasmine Guzeldere placed 23rd (21:46) followed by freshmen Zoe Knowles in 55th (23:22) and Rielly Brannan in 68th (24:13) in the 91-runner field.

The cross country teams will return to action on Friday, Sept. 15 at the Beaver Invite, hosted by American River College.
