No. 2 Roadrunners Look to Rebound against No. 4 San Jose City

Bakersfield, Calif. - The second-seeded Butte softball team will face fourth-seeded San Jose City in the consolation bracket of the CCCAA Softball Championships on Friday afternoon at 2 p.m.

The Roadrunners advanced to the state tournament after sweeping 15th-seeded Merced and 10th-seeded Folsom Lake but fell to No. 3 Santa Ana, 3-2, in nine innings in the opening round of the tournament.

San Jose City defeated American River and Cosumnes River - both in two games - to advance to the state tournament. The Jaguars fell to No. 1 Mt. SAC on Thursday afternoon, 6-1.

The winner of the contest will advance to face the loser of the No. 2 Cypress and No. 1 College of San Mateo matchup at 8 p.m. on Friday evening. The loser of the contest will be eliminated from the state tournament.

Ticket prices are $12 for adults and $8 for senior citizens (60+), children 12 and under, students (with valid ID), and faculty and staff each day. All tickets must be purchased via the CCCAA Athletics Box Office. Fans can also follow along on the livestream at www.baosn.tv
