Berkowitz Named to CCCAA Championship All-Tournament Team

Bakersfield, Calif. - Freshman catcher Laney Berkowtiz was named to the 2022 CCCAA Championship All-Tournament Team, announced Sunday.

Berkowitz was the lone Roadrunner to be voted on the team and was one of two catchers to be named to the All-Tournament squad.

Despite the two losses for Butte, Berkowitz went 3-for-8, scoring a run, and drawing a walk. Defensively, she was solid behind the plate, blocking wild pitches, and adding 11 putouts and one assist, including a double play.

Berkowitz adds the All-Tournament team honor to her slew of other awards including All-GVC and All-State.
