Susanville, Calif. - The No. 8 Butte softball team extended its conference winning streak to six with a sweep of Lassen, 25-3 (5) and 11-0 (5), on Friday afternoon.
In game one, freshman Kylee Richhart belted a homer and counted three RBI to lead the Roadrunners with sophomore Alexis Detwiler going 5-for-6 with two doubles and two triples. Overall, the team counted 14 extra-base hits.
In the circle, freshman Addison Boster (1-0) earned the complete-game win, scattering five hits with four strikeouts.
In game two, sophomore Hayley Sites counted a double and a triple in her 3-for-4 performance with sophomore Maggie Smith also going 3-for-4 with a pair of RBI.
Smith also picked up the win in the circle, scattering only three hits but fanning nine.
Butte (18-5, 6-0) heads back home to host Redwoods in a doubleheader on Saturday, Mar. 25. First pitch is scheduled for 12 p.m.
