Weed, Calif. - The No. 8 softball team rebounded with a pair of wins over Siskiyous, 12-0 (6) and 9-1 (5), on Saturday afternoon to capture the team's third-straight Golden Valley Conference title.
In game one, six Roadrunners earned multi-hit games, led by freshman Ella Jolley's perfect 4-for-4 from the plate with a pair of RBI. Sophomore Grace Stearns and freshman Faith Epperson both earned three hits apiece with Stearns earning a double and Epperson adding a stolen base.
Sophomore Maggie Smith (16-2) earned the complete-game win, tossing a two-hitter with four strikeouts.
Jolley and freshman Kylee Richhart both counted three hits in game two on 3-for-4 outings, while sophomores Alexis Detwiler and Grace Stearns earned the team's extra-base hits with doubles.
Smith earned her second with of the day to improve to 17-2, tossing five innings and allowing only two hits while fanning five. Sophomore Kiya Hamar closed the game with a one-hitter and three strikeouts.
The Roadrunners (30-9, 17-3) will await their postseason fate, to be announced on Saturday, Apr. 29.
