Oroville, Calif. - The Butte softball team wrapped up the 2024 season with a sweep of Redwoods, winning 8-4 and 10-3, on Thursday afternoon.
At the plate in game one, freshman Midasia Wathen went a perfect 3-for-3 with a pair of doubles, while freshman Breanna Williams went 2-for-3 with three RBI. Three other Roadrunners earned a multi-hit game with sophomore Riley Kucich adding a double and a pair of RBI.
Williams (6-10) earned the win in the circle, coming in the game in relief and throwing 4.1 hitless innings, while fanning three.
Williams remained hot on both ends of the ball in game two, going 2-for-3 at the plate with a double and five RBI and adding the complete game win (7-10) in the circle.
Wathen recorded another multi-hit game with sophomore Kylee Richhart adding a three-hit, two-RBI outing. Freshman Chloe Giannini added a 2-for-4
