Rocklin, Calif. - The Butte women's basketball team outlasted San Francisco, 60-54, to advance to the Sasha Brown Memorial Classic on Friday evening.
Sophomore Meghan Weinrich posted 22 points, eight rebounds, and five steals, while sophomore Cassidy King and freshman Sarah Tait chipped in eight points apiece.
The Roadrunners started each half outscoring San Francisco by seven and 12 points, respectively. Despite being outscored in the final 10 minutes, Butte was able to hold on late to take the win.
Butte (8-0) will face the host, Sierra, for the tournament championship on Saturday, Nov. 19 at 6 p.m.
