Roadrunners Run Past Mustangs to Advance to Championship Game

Visalia, Calif. - For the second-straight game, freshman Jordan Arreola led all scorers with 27 as the Butte women's basketball team ran past last season's state runner-up, Delta, 82-57, on Friday evening.

Arreola counted six three's, adding five boards and four assists. Freshman Madalynn Bassett tacked on 19 points off the bench with six rebounds, while sophomore Meghan Weinrich and freshman Sarah Tait rounding out the scorers in double figures with 17 and 10 points, respectively. Weinrich added five rebounds, six assists, and four steals on 5-for-10 shooting.

Butte played a eight-player lineup with the three players off the bench outscoring Delta 25-11. The Roadrunners counted 17 second-chance points to Delta's 10.

The Roadrunners (10-1) advance to the title game against the host, Sequoias, to be played on Saturday, Dec. 3 at 4 p.m.
