Weinrich Leads No. 2 Women's Basketball to 89-58 Win over ELAC

San Francisco, Calif. - Sophomore Meghan Weinrich led all scorers with 24 as the No. 2 Butte women's basketball team rebounded with a 89-58 win over ELAC on Friday afternoon.

Weinrich tallied 13 boards, including seven offensive, with nine assists and three steals in the win. Freshman Sarah Tait added 14 points from the starting lineup, while freshman Madalynn Bassett counted 17 points off the bench with six three-pointers. Sophomore Bella Vigil rounded out the players in double-figures with 11 points.

The Roadrunners took a 42-28 lead into the locker room, outscoring the Huskies by 11 points in the second quarter before having a solid final 10 minutes with a 16-point edge to close out the game.

Butte (14-2) looks to take the consolation title in the Rams Classic, facing Sierra on Saturday, Dec. 17 at 1 p.m.
