No. 6 Women's Basketball Rebounds with Decisive 79-44 Win over Redwoods

Eureka, Calif. - The No. 6 Butte women's basketball team rebounded with a decisive 79-44 win over Redwoods on Saturday afternoon.

Four of the starting lineup reached double figures in the points column, led by sophomore Meghan Weinrich's 16 point, 11 rebound performance, adding seven assists and eight steals. 

Sophomore Sanaya Shrader and freshman Sarah Tait both added 12 points apiece, while freshman Jordan Arreola earned a double-double with 10 points and 12 rebounds with five assists. Tait also racked up four assists and a pair of steals.

Sophomores Makenzee Moretto and Bella Vigil chipped in eight and seven points, respectively, off the bench with Vigil adding a pair of assists and three steals.

Butte (16-3, 1-1) returns to action on the road, heading to Siskiyous on Wednesday, Jan. 18 for a 7 p.m. tip.
