No. 3 Roadrunners Top LA Trade Tech, 74-21

Walnut, Calif. - The No. 3 Butte women's basketball team ran past LA Trade Tech, 74-21, in the opening contest of the Mt. SAC Tip-Off Classic on Friday afternoon.

The Roadunners put together a balanced offense with freshman Karine Dhaliwal posting a team-high 11 points off the bench. Sophomore Aubrey Prunty and freshmen Giselle Rodriguez and Morgan Trigueiro added nine points apiece.

Freshman Jocelyn Medina crashed the boards with a game-high 11 rebounds, adding eight points and five assists, while sophomore Madalynn Bassett counted eight boards and seven points. 

Butte counted 42 points in the paint to LA Trade Tech's eight, and the Roadrunners tallied 24 fast break points. Overall, the Roadrunners' bench counted 41 points.

Butte (2-0) will take on No. 6 Moorpark next on Saturday, Nov. 4 at 5 p.m.
