Women's Soccer Lands Five Conference Honors

South Lake Tahoe, Calif. - Sophomore Chloe Zamora earned back-to-back Golden Valley Conference (GVC) Defender of the Year honors, leading the way for the five selections for All-Conference.

Zamora captured the honor during her rookie season, followed by being named Co-Defensive Player of the Year this season.

Freshman forward Alyssa Bloxham and sophomore midfielder Jillian Weber were tabbed first team selections, while freshmen defender Lillyan Diaz and forward Rylee Jellison both were named to the second team.

Zamora played and started in all 19 matches, scoring one goal.

Bloxham played and started all 19 matches, tallying five goals, including one gamewinner, and six assists. 

Weber also played and started all 19 matches with one goal and one assist. 

Diaz earned an assist in her 19 matches, while Jellison played in 18 matches, starting 10, with six goals and four assists, including one game-winning goal and one penalty kick.

Overall, the Roadrunners earned the No. 18 seed in the north, falling to Taft in the first round of playoffs. The team finished the season 10-9-1 overall, 8-2 in GVC play.
